Book Launch: Trial by Tasman

Join Lindsay to launch Trial by Tasman, Tales from the Singlehanded Trans-Tasman Yacht Races.

The launch event will be held at the Taranaki Research Centre, Puke Ariki, New Plymouth, form 6.00pm - 7.00pm on Wednesday 16 April 2014.
Come along and discover the stories from the athletes, adventurers, eccentrics, daredevils and hardened sailors who face some of the roughest seas in the world to race 2700km from New Plymouth to Mooloolaba in Australia.
The Solo Trans-Tasman yacht race began in 1970, when it was opposed as 'foolhardy and dangerous' by yachting authorities. Since then it has gone on to become one of the world's classic sailing challenges.

Author Lindsay Wright will be talking about the characters and stories in the book, plus the background to the race, at this book launch.
